I. Preface

Welcome to the services provided by AI Listen (hereinafter referred to as "this Product"). This Privacy Policy defines the scope, methods, purposes and security measures for us to collect, use, store, share, delete and protect your personal data, and clearly informs you of your rights related to personal data.

By downloading, installing, registering, logging in to or using this Product and its services, you are deemed to have fully read, understood and voluntarily agreed to all terms of this Policy, and voluntarily accepted our processing of your personal data in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree to any term of this Policy, please do not download, install or use this Product and its services.

This Privacy Policy is an integral and important part of the User Service Agreement and has the same legal effect as the User Service Agreement. If there is any inconsistency between this Policy and the relevant provisions of the User Service Agreement, this Privacy Policy shall prevail.

II. Information We Collect and Collection Methods

We follow the principle of minimum necessity and only collect personal information necessary to provide the functions of AI Listen; we will not collect information irrelevant to the services.

1.Account-Related Information
When you log in to this Application, we only obtain officially authorized account identification information to verify your identity, associate your device, and realize account binding and data synchronization of your personal audiobook library. We will not store sensitive information such as your account username and password. You are solely responsible for account security.

2.Device and System-Related Information
To ensure normal operation, function adaptation and service experience optimization of the Application, we automatically collect device-related information, including: device model, system version, device identifier, network status, and device audio configuration information. The above information is only used to optimize audio-visual playback performance, troubleshoot content parsing and transcoding failures, and will not be used to identify personal identity.

3.Information Related to Content Collection and Import
To realize the collection, import and parsing of various content, we only collect information you actively submit through manual operations, with no proactive collection. Details include:

•Web link extraction: We only obtain the webpage URL you actively paste or select to parse webpage text and graphic content and convert it into audio. We do not collect your webpage browsing history or other browser data.

•Local/cloud drive file import: We only obtain local identification information of locally selected files in formats such as PDF, EPUB and Word, and file identification information of Google Drive links, to read file content and perform transcoding. We do not store irrelevant file data on your device, or your cloud drive personal account, file list and other information.

•Camera scanning (OCR): We only obtain images of paper documents you actively take to extract text. Local high-definition original image cache is only used to ensure OCR functions; cached data is stored on your local device under your full control. We will not upload, store or disclose such image information without authorization.

•Intelligent novel update tracking: We only obtain identification information of novel websites and chapters you actively select to intelligently fetch and seamlessly load novel content. We do not collect your novel browsing history, update-tracking preferences or other information.

4.Information Related to AI Podcast Processing
We only collect identification of content to be processed and processing instructions you actively select, to condense content, extract core information and reshape it into podcasts via AI models. We do not store irrelevant derivative data generated during AI processing, and only process the specific content you submit, not involving other unsubmitted content.

5.Subscription-Related Information
When you purchase paid subscription services of this Application through the Apple App Store, we only obtain subscription status, unique order identifier, subscription validity period and other information authorized by Apple to verify your subscription permissions and provide corresponding value-added services. We will not collect any payment-sensitive information such as your Apple ID payment password, bank card number or transaction amount. Subscription payment data is independently managed by the Apple App Store, and payment security is the responsibility of Apple Inc. and you.

III. Collection and Methods of Personal Data

We strictly abide by the principle of lawful, fair, voluntary and necessary collection. We only collect your personal data with your informed consent (for non-essential personal data) or within the scope permitted by law. You have the right to refuse to provide non-essential personal data, but you may not be able to use some functions of this service after refusal.

1. Lawful Grounds for Processing Personal Information

In accordance with applicable laws and regulations and international general standards, we may process your personal information lawfully under the following circumstances. Processing of data related to AI functions shall additionally comply with the special provisions of this Policy:
(1) With your explicit consent;
(2) Necessary for concluding and performing a contract at your request;
(3) Necessary to perform legal obligations, such as information required by laws and regulations on anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing, anti-telecom and network fraud, real-name management, etc.;
(4) Directly related to national security and national defense security;
(5) Necessary to protect the life, health and property safety of natural persons in emergencies;
(6) Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and judgment enforcement;
(7) Personal information you have disclosed on your own;
(8) Personal information collected from legally publicly disclosed information, such as legitimate news reports, government information disclosure and other channels;
(9) Necessary to maintain the safe and stable operation of the services provided, such as detecting and resolving product or service failures;
(10) Other circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations.

Note: When the processing of your personal information falls under items (2) to (10) above, we may process such information without your further consent in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Processing of data related to AI functions under the above circumstances also does not require additional consent, but we will clearly inform you of the processing purpose and scope in this Policy.

2. Sources of Information Collection

We collect your personal data from three main legal and compliant sources:
(1) Actively provided by you: Personal data you voluntarily submit when using this service or interacting with us, including but not limited to information filled in during account registration, uploaded materials and user content, contact information and communication content provided when contacting us.
(2) Automatically collected: Technical information automatically sent by your device or browser when you access or use this service. Such collection requires no manual operation and is a necessary step to ensure normal service operation and optimize AI service experience.
(3) Provided by third-party platforms: Relevant information about you obtained through third-party platforms, including but not limited to public information provided by third-party login platforms, transaction information provided by third-party payment processors, device-related information provided by app stores, and relevant data provided by third-party AI service providers (with your consent). Such information is obtained based on your authorization and the terms of third-party platforms; we only obtain necessary information and no irrelevant data.

3.Data Sharing with Third-Party AI Services
To provide you with the following functions, this Application calls API interfaces of third-party AI services. Details are as follows:

Important Notice
The above third-party AI services are provided by independent service providers, and their data processing practices are governed by their own privacy policies.
We only send corresponding data to third parties when you actively use the above functions. We will not send any data in advance or in the background without your explicit permission.
When you use the above functions for the first time, we will explain the data transmission to you via a pop-up window and seek your consent. You have the right to refuse; refusal will disable the corresponding function but will not affect the use of other functions.

IV. Permission Description and Minimization Principle

We strictly follow the data minimization principle and only collect the minimum data necessary to realize the core functions of this Product:

1.Before requesting sensitive permissions, we will clearly inform you of the specific functions the permission is used for, and will not conceal the purpose of the permission.

2.We only collect the minimum data necessary to realize core functions. Non-essential permissions are optional; you may turn them off in the application settings at any time, and turning them off will not affect the normal use of core functions.

3.All sensitive device permissions of this Product may only be used with your explicit authorization when you use specific functions. Refusal of any relevant permission will only disable the corresponding function and will not affect the normal use of other functions of this Product.

V. User Consent and Withdrawal

We respect your right of independent choice. The following rules govern consent and withdrawal for the collection and use of personal data:

1.Explicit consent: Before collecting or accessing sensitive information, we will seek your explicit consent via an independent pop-up window or authorization page to ensure your consent is voluntary and explicit.

2.Withdrawal: You may withdraw authorization at any time in Application Settings → Privacy → Permission Management, or withdraw relevant permissions such as photo album, microphone and storage in your device system settings. Relevant functions will stop after withdrawal, but the lawfulness of data processed based on legitimate consent before withdrawal will not be affected.

3.Payment independence: Paid functions are not conditional on your granting specific data access permissions. Your purchase of paid services does not affect your independent choice of personal data authorization.

VI. Storage and Protection of Personal Data

We securely store your personal data in strict compliance with applicable laws to ensure the legality, security and confidentiality of data storage:

1.Storage location: We store and process your personal data within the United States in accordance with applicable laws. All storage, processing and use of personal data of this Product are completed within the United States.

2.Storage period: We store your personal data only for the shortest period necessary to achieve the processing purposes specified in this Policy. After the period expires, we will securely delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with internal data management procedures.
Text, audio and other materials you upload to use AI functions are retained only for the period necessary to provide services. We will display AI function generation records on the client; you may delete them manually. If you delete generation records, we will synchronously delete the corresponding generated content and related materials (unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations).
If laws or administrative regulations explicitly require a longer retention period (e.g., for evidence preservation or performance of legal obligations), we will properly store the data within the specified period and delete or anonymize it in a timely manner upon expiration.

3.Storage security: We regard personal data security as a core task and have established a comprehensive, multi-layered security protection system to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, deletion or abuse of your personal data and ensure the security of your personal data during storage. We regularly review and update access permissions; establish a data backup mechanism to regularly back up personal data and prevent data loss; deploy firewalls, intrusion detection systems and other security devices to prevent network attacks and data breaches.

Special reminder: Internet transmission and data storage involve inherent security risks. Despite the above security measures, we cannot fully guarantee the absolute security of data transmission and storage. Please properly keep your personal account, password, verification code and other information, and do not disclose them to others to avoid personal data leakage caused by your improper operations (e.g., password leakage, account theft). If you find abnormal account activity or personal data leakage, please notify us immediately, and we will take corresponding security measures promptly.

VII. Sharing and Transfer of Personal Data

We attach great importance to your personal data privacy and strictly control the sharing and transfer of personal data. We will not arbitrarily share or transfer your personal data to any third party, and will only do so under one of the following conditions and with strict security safeguards:

1.To realize the core functions of this service, we will share your relevant personal data with third-party service providers. All data sharing is completed within the United States. Third-party service providers may only process your personal data within the scope authorized by us for service purposes and shall not use your personal data for any other purpose.

2.If we need to share your personal data with commercial partners for joint service provision or marketing activities, we will obtain your explicit consent in advance and clearly inform you of the purpose, scope and third-party information of the sharing.

3.We will disclose your personal data to authorized institutions in accordance with laws and regulations or legal documents issued by judicial or administrative authorities to perform legal obligations, cooperate with investigations, safeguard public interests and ensure national security.

4.If our company undergoes a change of entity such as merger, division, acquisition, asset transfer or liquidation, your personal data will be transferred to the changed entity as part of the company’s assets. The changed entity will continue to perform the privacy protection obligations specified in this Policy. We will notify you via pop-up window, email or other means in this Product before the entity change.

5.If you actively request us to share your personal data with a designated third party, we will do so in accordance with your request and in compliance with applicable laws.

Special note: We prohibit any third party from using your personal data obtained from us for any purpose outside the scope specified in this Policy.

VIII. Third-Party AI Services

All third-party AI services integrated into this Product are compliant service providers within the United States. All data processing activities are completed within the United States, with no cross-border transmission or processing of personal data.
Some AI services in this Product may embed third-party AI SDKs or similar applications, providing services jointly by us and third parties. Third-party AI service providers and third-party website operators may have independent privacy policies, and their information processing rules are not bound by this Policy. We also cannot control the use of technologies such as third-party cookies and web beacons. Before using third-party AI-related services, you should carefully read their privacy policies. If you find information security risks in third-party services, we recommend that you terminate the operation immediately. We will provide you with necessary assistance within the scope permitted by laws and regulations. All third-party AI service providers are located within the United States, and all data processing is completed within the United States. We only assume responsibility for our own authorization and supervision obligations; third-party AI service providers shall bear legal responsibility for their independent data processing practices.

IX. Tracking and App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

If this Product needs to conduct cross-app/cross-website identification or share identifiers or behavioral data for advertising with third parties (i.e., "tracking"), we will request user authorization via system-level ATT. We will not conduct such tracking without authorization. We will not force you to use core functions or use paid services as a condition for enabling tracking or other permissions (push/positioning).

X. Minors’ Privacy

This product does not actively provide services to minors under the age of 18. Minors seeking to use this product or related services must do so under the supervision and guidance of their legal guardians.

We do not proactively collect or store any personal information of minors. Local data generated from minors' operations is stored solely on their devices; we neither access nor use such data.

If a guardian discovers that a minor has granted application permissions without authorization or generated relevant data privately, they may manually revoke device permissions, delete local data, or uninstall the product directly. Should we inadvertently collect a minor's personal information without the guardian's consent, we will immediately implement compliant measures such as deletion or suspension of usage.

XI. Your Rights Regarding Personal Data

1.Right of access: You have the right to request us to inquire about and understand the type, source, processing purpose, processing method, sharing recipients and other relevant information of your personal data we collect, store, use and share. We will provide you with clear and complete inquiry results within the time limit prescribed by law.

2.Right of correction: If you find that the personal data we collect and store is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request us to correct the incorrect data and supplement the incomplete data. We will complete the correction and supplement in a timely manner after verification and confirmation.

3.Right of deletion: Subject to applicable laws, you have the right to request us to delete your personal data, including but not limited to: the processing purpose has been achieved, the storage period has expired, you have withdrawn consent, or our processing violates legal provisions. We will securely delete your personal data in a timely manner after verification and confirmation; data that cannot be deleted (e.g., for evidence preservation) will be anonymized. You may manually manage AI generation records and uploaded materials and choose to delete relevant information according to the function settings of the Product.

4.Right to withdraw consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent to personal data processing at any time via the Product settings page or by contacting us. After withdrawal, we will immediately stop relevant data processing based on such consent, but this will not affect the lawful data processing we have completed based on your consent before withdrawal. Your withdrawal of consent to cross-border transmission and processing will not affect the validity of personal data cross-border transmission and processing completed based on your lawful consent before withdrawal.

5.If you believe that our personal data processing violates this Policy or applicable laws and infringes your privacy rights, you have the right to file a complaint with us or with the data protection regulatory authority in your region. We will actively cooperate with the investigation and respond to your demands in a timely manner.

We will process your request to exercise rights within a reasonable period after verifying your identity (usually responding to export requests within 15 working days). For data that has been provided to third parties, we will use reasonable efforts to procure deletion by third parties and obtain confirmation, except where third parties are required to retain such data due to legal obligations.

XII. Third-Party SDK Description

The personal data processing of third-party SDKs is the sole responsibility of the SDK developers and governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the collection, use and sharing of your personal data by third-party SDKs. We only authorize third-party SDKs to collect and process your personal data within the scope necessary to realize the functions of this service, and explicitly prohibit third-party SDKs from using your personal data for any purpose irrelevant to this service.
The specific list, purpose, type of personal data collected and corresponding privacy policy links of third-party SDKs are detailed in Appendix I Third-Party SDK List to this Policy. We will update the appendix in a timely manner in accordance with SDK updates, additions or deletions to ensure you understand the latest SDK information. If you do not agree to the collection of your personal data by third-party SDKs, you may stop using the corresponding functions or disable relevant permissions via device settings. We will list all third-party entities that access user data and their purposes in this Privacy Policy and within the Application, and impose stricter information protection requirements on third-party AI service providers/SDK providers that access data related to AI functions.

XIII. Updates and Amendments to the Privacy Policy

We will update and amend this Privacy Policy from time to time in accordance with updates to laws and regulations, iteration of this Product’s functions, optimization of privacy protection practices and changes to regulatory requirements, to ensure this Policy always complies with legal provisions and actual service needs.
The updated Privacy Policy will be published within this Product.

XIV. Dispute Resolution and Contact Information

This Policy shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding its conflict of law rules.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be resolved through friendly negotiation by both parties. If negotiation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with the competent court in the State of California, USA.
